Join us for a fun, family-oriented day on the farm focusing on pollinators like bees, butterflies, and birds and the plants they rely on!
This family day will focus on increasing interest and awareness of pollinators and the steps we can take to support and encourage them. You’ll also discover more about what is currently happening in our community, about the connection between pollinators and food, and about how you can get involved.
Attendees will receive a coupon for a special treat at Farm Table's restaurant in Amery!

DONATIONS accepted at the event. Suggested amounts: $15 for adults, $5 for children, $25 for a family to help cover expenses and compensate presenters for their time and expertise.
Kristy Lynn Allen is owner and head beekeeper of The Beez Kneez LLC, established in 2010. The Beez Kneez uses sustainable beekeeping practices to manage over 150 hives for pedal-powered honey production and education in Wisconsin and Minnesota. Kristy has an extensive background advocating for pollinator health and is passionate about connecting bees and sustainable farming practices. She partners with seven organic farms to find healthy, productive locations for her honeybees to produce high quality honey from the beautiful St. Croix River Valley. She lives on a farm in Grantsburg, WI, and also serves as president of the Polk/Burnett Chapter of the Wisconsin Farmers Union.
Ann Hobbie is the author of the children’s book Monarch Butterflies (Storey Publishing, 2021). Ann serves as the chair of the board of directors at the Monarch Joint Venture, a national partnership of federal and state agencies, non-governmental organizations, businesses, and academic programs working together to conserve the monarch butterfly migration. She has more than 20 years of experience teaching children, training teachers, and writing curricula related to monarchs, schoolyard ecology, and schoolyard gardening.

Our ticket prices for our programs reflect living wages for our staff, supporting knowledgeable and qualified instructors, and paying local farmers a fair price for the produce and proteins we source from them.
